The topic of cloud computing has been around for some time and is still in discussion today. Elkie Holland wrote a blog series, "Into the Clouds", back in May 2015.

The conversation is still active, with a variety of opinions. PickCloud (who use Google Cloud as a backbone) have just released a great YouTube video on the subject entitled "Why Move to the Cloud?" The video makes some nice points in favour of moving to the Cloud:
It's an amusing and informative video and aims to help those suffering from the common ailment of "weak security syndrome" by likening the Cloud to "a personal security vault covered in fluffy whiteness". Some positives PickCloud point out are:

- 24/7 accessibility from anywhere
- Easier collaboration and sharing
- Zero downtime
- Savings on hardware power, maintenance and administration
- Automatic server update and upgrades
- Highest level of internet security
